Jamf Pro Migration

Move to Jamf, without breaking anything.

Switching MDM platforms, or moving on-premise Jamf to the cloud, carries real risk if it's rushed: broken policies, devices falling out of management, users locked out mid-week. We plan and run the move so none of that happens.

What's included

What a migration with us actually involves

Every migration starts with understanding what you're moving from, not just what you're moving to.

Environment audit

A full review of your existing MDM setup: policies, profiles, enrolled devices, and anything that won't carry across cleanly.

Migration planning

A written plan covering sequencing, timing, and rollback options, agreed with you before anything moves.

Policy & profile rebuild

Your configuration profiles, restrictions, and policies rebuilt properly in Jamf, matched to how they actually need to work there.

Phased cutover

Devices moved in controlled batches rather than all at once, so any issue affects only a handful of users at a time.

User communication

Clear, plain-English notice to your team about what's changing and what they need to do, if anything.

Post-migration support

We stay through the settling-in period to catch and fix anything that only shows up once the fleet is live on Jamf.

Why TechCitrus

Why have someone else run the migration

Migrations go wrong when they're treated as a weekend project squeezed in alongside everything else IT already does. We do this as our actual job, on fleets of every size, which is the difference between a migration that goes smoothly and one that generates two months of tickets.

Talk to our team

Done by specialists

Jamf 400 certified engineers who migrate fleets regularly, as their actual job.

No dropped devices

A structured process means nothing falls out of management partway through the move.

Fixed scope, clear plan

You know what's happening and when, agreed upfront rather than discovered as you go.

Managed afterwards too

If you want ongoing management once you're on Jamf, that's a natural next step.

Common questions

Can you migrate us from Intune, Kandji, or Mosyle to Jamf?

Yes. We've moved fleets between all the major Apple MDMs. The specifics differ by platform, but the approach is the same: audit what you have, plan the cutover, and move devices without users noticing beyond a single re-enrolment step.

Will our users experience any disruption?

Some re-enrolment is usually unavoidable, since devices generally need to check into the new platform. We schedule that for the least disruptive time, communicate it clearly in advance, and keep the actual downtime to minutes, not hours.

How long does a typical migration take?

Most migrations run 2 to 6 weeks from discovery call to fully cut over, depending on fleet size and how much of your existing policy set needs to be rebuilt rather than carried across.

Do we need to buy Jamf licences before we start?

No. We can include the Jamf Pro licence as part of the migration project, or work with an existing licence if you already have one. We'll cover this on the discovery call.
